Girls Night Out: Marian Jordan

Thursday, January 28th, 2010 will be a day that I will never forget! After weeks of preparing, Girls Night Out had finally arrived! Girls Night Out is an outreach event specifically for college women featuring well-known author Marian Jordan. Marian has written three books: Sex and The City Uncovered, Wilderness Skills for Women, and The List. During Girls Night Out, Marian shares her story in a very powerful way of how the Lord brought her from complete emptiness to being a redeemed girl. Her story is the story of almost every college girl: searching for significance in sex, appearance, relationships, and other things that ultimately will not satisfy. Marian shares about her life in college, and after graduation, and how true satisfaction can only be found in Jesus Christ. Marian spoke to about 1600 girls on Thursday night at the Tad-Smith Coliseum at Ole Miss, and 114 girls prayed to receive Christ! I am still blown away at the work the Lord has done! We do indeed serve a mighty God! This was the largest women's outreach event ever in Ole Miss history! Would you please join me in praying for a few specific things?

• Pray that this would begin a revival amidst college women at Ole Miss...that Ole Miss women would be a group of women that are passionately in love with Jesus Christ, and live to make Him known to other!
• Pray that we would be able to follow-up with the 114 girls! And that as we follow-up with all these girls, we would be able to equip them with the necessary tools to further develop their faith.
• Pray for protection from the enemy: he would love to speak lies to these women, and have them return to their evil ways. Pray, pray, pray that the enemy would be binded away from Ole Miss!
