What's in the Cart?

The moral of this story is DO NOT go to the grocery store HUNGRY and PREGNANT!! That was something my mom always told me, and it still remains true to this day. On Tuesday night, I sent Kyle to Taco Bell before Crusade because that was about the only thing that sounded good. I know that is gross, but I just don't really like chicken right now! Of course, they messed up my order so I only had one taco. After Crusade was over I was absolutely starving, and had to go to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. I started browsing the aisles, and this is what I ended up with once I got home. Very random, but it was what looked good these days!

On a completely different note, I wanted to share something that has been on my heart lately. Just because I am now pregnant does not mean I have forgotten about those dealing with infertility. Once I traveled down this road, I think I will always have a heart for women battling infertility. I have become close with several women on my journey, some who have recently found out they are pregnant, and some who are still trying to conceive. These women hold a special place in my heart, and I pray often that the Lord will bless them with a child soon. Unless you have experienced infertility, you truly cannot imagine how difficult it can be. For those of you who are walking down this road, the biggest advice I can give is to see a specialist. This advice was given to me by a friend when I was just a few months along in my journey, and I am so thankful I followed her advice. Our experience was only 18 months, and I feel that it could have been a lot longer had I not seen a specialist, and especially one who was very proactive. This was hands down the best decision I ever made. I always tell friends that if I had a heart problem I would not keep seeing my family doctor, I would go to a cardiologist. I feel it is the same with infertility, and it is best to see a reproductive endocrinologist. If you are currently experiencing infertility please know that my heart deeply hurts for you. I know exactly what you are experiencing, and if you have any questions or specific prayer requests I would love to be here for you. You can send me an e-mail at amytcole@gmail.com. I am pregnant, but I am still a woman with infertility.

  1. Love seeing the groceries! I craved the craziest things when I was pregnant! I went through a weird phase where all I ate were BLTs. That was the only thing that sounded good to me! Haven't eaten one since then! :)
