We are having...

a GIRL!!! Kyle and I are thrilled to share with you that Hardy is going to have a little sister! We went to the doctor on Thursday for the ultrasound that would tell the gender of our precious baby. Instead of finding out at the doctor's office, I had the ultrasound tech call Peas and Carrots in Oxford, and they wrapped up an Ole Miss outfit that I had previously picked out and that was gender specific. Once we got back to Oxford from Tupelo, Carmen Rae and Ian came over with the present and to take pictures for us. We had both of our families on Skype as we opened the present. We were definitely shocked to open it and see a DRESS inside! Of course, Kyle thought it was a boy at first because the dress was blue (probably should have told him that), but as soon as I saw the collar I knew it was an outfit for a baby girl. I am tickled pink that we are having a girl! I just knew I was going to be that girly mom that had all boys. Oh, my heart is filled with so much joy! The Lord has blessed us beyond measure, and He is so sweet to give us one of each!

We also had a Gender Reveal Party in the Grove on Saturday for all our friends and the college students. We couldn't have a party for Hardy and not do something for this baby. We did cupcakes again this time, and most everyone was shocked when they bit into it and saw pink icing. Such a surprise! I love all the excitement that we were surrounded by on Saturday. Our children are so blessed to already be loved by so many. Yet another reason that I love Oxford and I love working with college students. Thanks to all of you who shared in our joy this week, and also thanks for loving our family so well! We have been blessed by each of you!

15 MONTHS

15 Month Stats
Weight: 21 lbs. 2 oz.
Height: 31 inches
Diaper Size: Size 4
Clothes Size: Size 12-18 Months
What Hardy Likes:
Toothbrushes!
He is obsessed with them!
I am not quite sure why we
 bought all these toys.
He would be happy if we just
gave him a toothbrush.
What Hardy Dislikes:
Hats...he does not
like anything on his head.
He will leave it on for a
split second and then
pull it off.
Best Moment of the Month:
Visiting Nana and Poppa!
Poppa was so excited to see
you because it had been several
months. You also got to swim
in their pool which you absolutely loved!

15 Month Highlights:
You are into everything,
and there is no way to keep
you out of the bathroom drawers.
We even tried sliding a yardstick
down the middle, but you are so
strong that you can pull all four drawers
out and slide your hand in between
to get what you want. Oh the determination!
You love your Bobo and you started
calling him by his name this month.
You sleep with him every night and
he goes everywhere you go.
You love to drink out of a cup
with a straw--all about being  a big boy!
Your vocabulary is beginning to develop
and you have started saying words that
start with B: bird, ball, book, and bus.
You love to sit at a piano and "play."
Maybe you will have some of
Poppa or Aunt Lexi's musical talent.
You really love Dada's electrical
razor. Once you get your hands on it,
you will not give it back. You walk
around the house "shaving"
just like Dada. It is too funny!
Your favorite book is Baby Einstein's
First Words. We have to read it at least
a few times a day. I love that you are
developing a desire to read.
Every morning when we are eating
breakfast you look out the window for
birds. If we see one fly by you get
so excited. This month you got to
feed some birds at the zoo and you loved it!
You are so precious Lil Hardy,
but you also have a mischievous
side coming out...wonder who
that came from?!?
We adore you Hardy and every
day with you is so much fun!
You bring us so much love
and laughter! What a blessing it
is to be your Mama and Dada!

Hardy Moments in August

Hardy is definitely all B-O-Y, and each month it shows more and more. We love watching his personality further develop each month, and what interests him. He is one curious little guy, and you can tell his mind is working hard. It is very obvious that he is watching us and studying what we do. He  certainly loves his Dada and wants to be just like him. He mimics everything Kyle does and it is so cute! One thing is for sure, Mama and Dada are head over heals in love with this little boy!
